රටට සේවය කිරීමට කැමති නමුත්,හිටපු පාලකයින්ගෙන් පැමිණි පීඩාවන් වැනි විවිධ හේතුමත රටින් බැහැරව සිටින විදෙස්ගත ශ්රීලාංකිකයින්ට ජනාධිපතිවරයා සිය අයවැය කතාවේදී විශේෂ ආරාධනාවක් කරනු ලැබීය.
‘විශේෂයෙන්ම අපේ රටේ අවාසනාවට අපිට අහිමි වූ අති දක්ෂ පිරිසක් රටින් පිට සිටිනවා. සමහරු යුද්ධය නිසා රටින් බැහැර වුණා. සමහරු පාලකයින්ගේ අසාධාරණකම්වලට හිස නොනැමූ නිසා රටින් බැහැර වුණා. එහෙමත් නැත්නම් පාලකයින් විසින් ඒ විශිෂ්ට මිනිස්සුන්ව රටින් නෙරපා හැරියා. මේ රටේ ඉගෙන ගත්ත, සමහරවිට මේ රටේ ඉපදිලා පිට රට ඉගෙන ගත්ත ඒ අයට ලෝකයේ ඉතාම හොඳ අවස්ථා තිබුණා. නමුත් ඒ අය ඒ අවස්ථා භාර නොගෙන තමන්ගේ මව් රටට සේවය කරන්න ආවා. ඒත්, තමන් උපන් බිමේ නිදහසේ හුස්ම ගන්න හෝ ඒ බිමට සේවය කරන්න ඒ අයට ඉඩක් දුන්නේ නැහැ. පාලකයින්ගේ වැරදි දේට හිස නොනැමූ වරද තමයි ඔවුන් කළ වරද. ඒ වගේම ඒ සුදුස්සාට සුදුසු තැන නොදෙන ක්රමවේදයට ඒ අය එකග වුනෙත් නෑ. අපි අද ඒ සියලු දෙනාට ආරාධනය කරනවා, ඔබට මේ රට තහනම් බිමක් වූ කාලය ඉවරයි. පරණ ක්රමය අවසන්. දැන් තිබෙන්නේ සුදුස්සාට සුදුසු තැන ලැබෙන ක්රමයක්. නිදහසේ වැඩ කරන්න එන්න, මේ රටේ දොරටු ඔබට විවෘත යි.‘
